You, sir, are uneducated. Rick Santorum never said that quote. You should perhaps look it up and not take everything at face value. I do not support him, but I do not like major bashing on anyone.
And you, grey-faced sir or madam, are… half-right. I’m far from uneducated, nor do I “take everything at face value”. But as it turns out, the quote WAS mis-allocated.
If Snopes is to be trusted, he DIDN’T say that you should treat women as if they all have a mental illness. That was a spoof, brought on by all the other nutjob-esque things he’s said over the years.
He DID, however, attack Protestants (and most other people lol) and America as a whole as being tools of Satan back in ‘08 at Ave Maria University in Florida. The stories / quotes were placed together, and since one was factual, I assumed the other one was, too.
Even without this particular quote on his record, he’s said enough nutty / completely awful stuff to make any sane person resolve to write in Mickey Mouse before voting for Rick Santorum.
Nevertheless, let it not be said that I don’t own up to my mistakes.
