your blog is pretty awesome. what are your veiws on religion? i am religious but I love all your rants on feminism and pro life stuff!

Well thank you Anon! You know where the follow button is! ;)

My views on religion are… complex. They evolve as I learn new things. As it stands right now, I don’t belong to any religion. I feel that they all, at their core, teach the same thing:

Do to others what you would have them do to you. It’s what everyone from Jesus to Buddha to the Hindu sages to Guru Nanak to Muhammad and every other teacher and prophet has taught.

I think a lot of religion is arbitrary rules, and all the stuff about an afterlife, etc…. that’s just guessing.

I do hope for reincarnation, though, as that makes way more sense than the Abrahamic model of one chance, then heaven / hell forever.

And as for a deity or deities, well, there’s no proof. You can cite faith all you want, but I find little room for excuses when it comes to a deity or deities who is / are supposedly vastly (if not totally) powerful, yet refuse to give any proof of their existence.

I’m prepared to worship a deity or deities who prove they exist and prove themselves worthy of worship. Until then, I’ll keep looking and err on the side of using my intellect and thinking for myself.

At the same time, I wonder how we all got here, and what it all means. The odds are too great for it to be random, or just some accident.

Anyway, I don’t want to ramble, so I’ll end here. Have a great day, Anon! :)
