If you think the right of businesses to racially segregate is more important than the basic human rights of people of color, go fuck yourself right off a cliff.

Ron Paul never said it was more important. He just has this idea that if something isn’t constitutionally correct then you don’t vote for it. Even if it’s one tiny part of a bill.

It’s not just about “people of color” ( way to collectivize people!) If a person of color owned a business and wanted to discriminate against a white person (somebody who isn’t systematically opressed!!11!1!) then they would be free to do so. The thing is, no matter who the business owner is, it makes no sense for them to do that because they are severely limiting the amount of clients they are going to have and thus their business isn’t going to do so well. They are also severely limiting the talent pool of their employees.

If you force a racist to hire people that he doesn’t want to hire, do you think he is going to treat them properly? I don’t think that’s the case.

The other thing is that the Jim Crow laws were CREATED BY THE STATE! Solving a problem created in part due to large government with MORE GOVERNMENT is ridiculous. He said that he would have voted for the repeal of the Jim Crow laws.

I wonder how many people who cry racism whenever Ron Paul wants to support property rights support Affirmative Action without a second thought…
